Backstreet Boys or abbreviated BSB is one of the vocal group from Orlando, Florida, United States. BSB formed on 20 April 1993. At first, Backstreet Boys consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson. However, in 2006 one of its personnel, Kevin Richardson decided to quit the group in order to spend more time with his family.
The members of the Backstreet Boys went to an island in the Bahamas to write songs and record their next album, Black & Blue. They went to the island to focus and stay away from any interference from outside, including from family, boyfriend, and fiance.
The result, Black &Blue album released in 2000 held the world record with the most sales in the first week of all time is 5 million copies, and total sales reached 24 million copies. It also makes them the first musician in history to have two consecutive albums sold more than one million copies in its first week.
